1. Ksi Lisims LNG – British Columbia
What it is: Canada's second-largest LNG facility, led by Nisga'a Nation, expected to have 94% lower emissions than global averageInvestment: $30 billion
Jobs: Thousands of skilled trades during construction, hundreds permanent
Why it matters: Aims to double Canada's LNG production capacity
2. Crawford Nickel Project – Timmins, Ontario
What it is: It’s the world’s second-largest nickel reserve, producing battery-grade nickel with 90% lower emissions
Investment: $5 billion
Jobs: Thousands (construction + permanent mining operations)
Why it matters: Aims to position Canada as clean nickel supplier for EV batteries
3. Matawinie Graphite Mine – Quebec
What it is: Open-pit graphite mine for batteries and defence applications
Investment: $1.8 billion
Jobs: 1,000+ direct jobs
Why it matters: Reduces dependence on foreign graphite supply
4. Sisson Tungsten Mine – New Brunswick
What it is: Production for high-strength steel, defence, industrial use
Jobs: Hundreds of mining, processing, engineering roles
Why it matters: US Department of Defence already invested $20M: tungsten is critical for national security and something that the US cannot produce on their own.
5. North Coast Transmission Line – BC
What it is: Major transmission line delivering clean electricity + telecommunications to Northwest BC and Yukon
Jobs: Thousands during construction phase
Why it matters: Enables the LNG and mining projects above; connects isolated Yukon grid to Canadian power.
6. Northwest Critical Conservation Corridor – BC & Yukon
What it is: Conservation area size of Greece sitting on massive critical mineral deposits
Why it matters: Claims to unlock world-class mining resources while protecting the environment
Jobs: Long-term mining, logistics, infrastructure careers
What it is: 100% Inuit-owned hydro facility replacing 15 million litres of diesel annually
Jobs: Construction + operations roles
Why it matters: First hydro project in Nunavut, big milestone for Indigenous-led clean energy
